Property dealers, consultants want HUDA to address their concerns

With Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) making all major services for plot-holders online from January 29, property dealers and consultants of the state want their concerns to be addressed first.

The Haryana State Property Dealers Welfare Association (HSPDWA) said if HUDA provided online services in the manner it had planned, it would lead to several complications.

Suresh Aggarwal, president of the HSPDWA, said asking for the presence of allottees in HUDA office before issuing transfer permission under online system was uncalled for as it would only result in harassment of the parties, many of which were NRIs or were living outside the state.

He said the transfer permission as well as the re-allotment letter would have to be generated by the seller, but once the seller executed the sale deed and get his money, it was not possible to further pressurise him documents.

The association wants registered property dealers to be empanelled with HUDA like architects and IDs should be issued to them for uploading applications on its portal on behalf of their clients.

J Ganesan, Chief Administrator of HUDA, said there was no merit in the arguments of the property dealers.

“The purpose of providing online services to plot-holders is to delete middlemen and remove corruption from the system. However, instructions have already been issued to deal with all transfer permissions issued till now before the inauguration of the online system,” he said.

He said he had asked the Estate Officer to hold a meeting with the property dealers and see if they had any genuine grievance.
