Ambala: The Ambala police have registered a case against an unidentified Railway official for alleged negligence in the case of drowning of two boys in a swimming pool at Railway Colony near the DRM complex on April 9. Sumit (14) and Deepanshu (13), students of Class VIII, had gone to swim with their friends. Seeing Sumit drowning, Deepanshu jumped into the pool to save him, but he also lost his life. The case has been registered on a complaint by Devender Kumar, Deepanshu’s father. — TNS
Gwal Pahari: MC to move appeal
Gurugram: After losing the legal battle for ownership of over 464 acres in Gwal Pahari, the Gurugram MC will file an appeal against the local court’s decision. The court of Civil Judge (Senior Division) Prashant Rana had last week dismissed eviction notices issued by the MC to owners and issued directions to make appropriate changes in the MC, revenue and other official records.
