The downpour that lasted nearly three hours flooded several low-lying areas in the district . Roads in several areas, including Sectors 7, 5 and 13, Bhadra Kali road and Railway road, were submerged due to poor storm water drainage.

Deputy Commissioner Sumedha Kataria said no untoward incident was reported.

Yamunanagar: Heavy rain threw life out of gear in Yamunanagar district on Tuesday. Water accumulated in several low-lying areas of Yamunanagar and Jagadhri.

The kutcha roof of a house collapsed in Gari Mundo village. House owner Satpal said family members had a narrow escape, but several household items got buried under debris.
