Rape convict ‘attacks’ victim’s kin

Kaithal: A rape convict out on bail, along with 20 to 25 persons, allegedly attacked the family of the victim in Jakholi village of the district on Thursday. The victim’s grandfather, Pala (70), uncle Satbir (36) and three other members of the family were injured. While they were in Kaithal hospital, the miscreants allegedly set their house on fire. A minor girl was allegedly gangraped on July 25, 2015, by four persons. During trial, only of them — Anil of Songri village — was convicted and sentenced to 10 years’ imprisonment in May 2017. OC
