Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has ordered the Gurugram police to ensure registration of FIR on every complaint irrespective of the nature of crime.

“Even if a person walks into a police station to claim that his needle has been stolen, you go ahead and file an FIR. Don’t be bothered about increase in the number of FIR or take the excuse of many of them being fake. This will increase people’s trust in us and help us uproot crime. I wish to tell all of you that you have the full right of getting your complaint registered and if you are denied, come to us,” said Khattar while addressing his first Janta Darbar organised at Swantrata Senani Zila Parishad Hall in the city today.

The Chief Minister accompanied by local MLAs and officials disposed of over 300 complaints asking concerned officials to address them within next 10 days and send action-taken report to him.

An investigating officer ASI Charan Singh was suspended after a Ghata resident alleged that the electricity meter and wire of his house was stolen and the police registered the case in this regard after the intervention of court. Khattar disposed of a complaint against a builder and said that the RERA authority was being constituted in the state and its chairman and members would be appointed by the month end.

“After that the aggrieved people will be able to file their complaints before the RERA authority to get relief. One can file a complaint with the RERA authority even if the real estate project is not registered under RERA,” he added. Khattar ordered the imposition of a fine of Rs. 1,000 per month on the officer responsible for the delay in the completion of Dr BR Ambedkar Park in ward No.13 of the city though a resolution in this regard was passed on May 29, 2015.

CM launches Indradhanush mission

Chief Minister  Manohar Lal Khattar launched the Intensified Mission Indradhanush from Gurugram for Faridabad, Palwal, Mewat and Gurugram districts. Under the mission, vaccination would be done from 7th to 21st day of every month starting from October to January, 2018. The timing of vaccination would be from 9 am to 4 pm. In Gurugram, the target is to vaccinate 11,336 children and 2,907 expectant mothers during the four-month campaign. 

Master plan to tackle water shortage

The CM said a master plan would be prepared to provide adequate amount of drinking water to residents of Gurugram city. He made the announcement while presiding over a monthly meeting of the District Public Grievances Committee in Gurugram Sunday.  As many as 28 complaints were taken up at the meeting and the majority of them were resolved”. Besides, a three-member committee would be constituted to deal with the issues related to sewerage congestion and water problem in old Gurugram. This committee would submit its report in two days to the Commissioner of the MC. Two machines would be purchased by the year-end for sewerage cleaning. Until these are bought, cleaning would be done by taking machines on rent.
