Deputy Commission Anita Yadav has constituted a three-member inquiry committee led by SDM Pankaj Satia to find out exact reasons that forced three children to flee from the Bahadurgarh Bal Grah (Children Home).

The State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (SCPCR) has sought an action taken and fact-finding report from the district authorities within next 48-hours into the case.

BK Goel, member of the SCPCR, also visited the children home and inspected its record, besides taking stock of security arrangement made by the authorities concerned.

He urged the authorities concerned to ensure safety and security of other children staying at the children home.

Notably, three inmates — Harender, Mohit and Sunil – all 12 years of years, went missing under mysterious circumstances from the children home in Bahadurgarh four days ago. Harender did not return from the school while Mohit and Sunil went missing while playing outside the children home on Friday.

Though the police have started investigations into the matter, no clue about the location of the children has been found even after four days. However, the police have carried out raids at various places of Panipat, Delhi, Jind and Rohtak districts.

“During investigation, it was revealed that Sunil wanted to go to Panipat, hence, we are focusing our search operation on Panipat to recover the missing children. However, our teams have visited Delhi, Jind and Rohtak districts but we are yet to receive any clue,” said Virender Singh, in charge of the Sector-6 police post.

Sources said the authorities wanted to shift all 7 male children to the Rewari shelter house from Bahadurgarh but Sunil did not want to go to Rewari.

An official wishing anonymity confirmed that all seven male inmates were to be shifted soon. Among 30 inmates of the children home, 23 were girls and seven were boys.

DC Anita Yadav said the committee had started inquiry into the matter and it would submit its fact-finding report tomorrow. An action would be taken against those found guilty.
