The BJP is all geared up for the three-day visit of party president Amit Shah to Rohtak next week.

According to sources, Shah’s scheduled visit remained a central point of discussion on the second day of the BJP’s state executive body in Jind today. The meeting was attended by all political dignitaries of the ruling party in the state.

Shah is scheduled to hold 27 meetings in Rohtak, the Jat belt politically dominated by former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda.

Sources said Shah’s meetings with state Cabinet, party MLAs, office-bearers of the party and different morchas of the BJP were discussed at today’s meeting.

Shah would also inaugurate a library building in the state head office of the party in Rohtak.

He is also expected to take a separate session with rebel BJP MLAs, asking them to mend their ways and focus on the 2019 elections, party sources said.

Meanwhile, party spokesperson Veer Kumar Yadav told reporters in Jind that zero-tolerance towards corruption and digitally linking various schemes with the beneficiaries were key achievements of the present regime.

Yadav said in 1,000 days of governance, the state government had approved investigation by the State Vigilance Bureau in 281 cases of alleged corruption.

He said government recruitments were done with complete transparency and jobs were given strictly on the merit basis.
