SI suspended for ‘delayed’ response

KARNAL: Jashandep Singh Randhawa, Superintendent of Police (SP), has suspended Sub-Inspector (SI) Rajesh Kumar posted at the Assandh police station for allegedly not reaching in time to the loot spot.

Jashandep Singh Randhawa, Superintendent of Police (SP), has suspended Sub-Inspector (SI) Rajesh Kumar posted at the Assandh police station for allegedly not reaching in time to the loot spot.

Confirming the suspension, the SP said that an incident of loot took place last week in Assandh, but Rajesh Kumar reached there around an hour after the information. The victim had also blamed negligence on his part, following which an inquiry was marked to the SHO.

It was a serious lapse in the duty, due to which he has been suspended, the SP said. — TNS
