Sirsa police questions Dera chairperson Vipassana Insan on violence

CHANDIGARH: Dera Sacha Sauda chairperson Vipassana Insan was on Monday quizzed by a Special Investigating Team (SIT) of Sirsa Police at the HUDA police post in Sirsa.

Dera Sacha Sauda chairperson Vipassana Insan was on Monday quizzed by a Special Investigating Team (SIT) of Sirsa Police at the HUDA police post in Sirsa.    

The SIT was headed by Dabwali DSP Kuldeep Beniwal.

She arrived at the police post at 2.30 pm and is being questioned by the police about the people behind the violence in Sirsa on August 25 following the conviction.

Police sources said she is also being questioned on the issue of tampering of hard discs before beginning of search operations in the Dera.                       

The police are also asking her questions on the luxury SUV belonging to the Dera burnt by its driver near Phoolkan village and recovery of crackers in the Dera.                       

Sirsa SP Ashwin Shenvi said the police had summoned Vipassana by sending her a notice.
