Sonepat gang rape: Two accused in judicial custody

SONEPAT: Chief Judicial Magistrate Nishant Sharma today sent the main accused in the Sonepat gang rape and murder in judicial custody.

Chief Judicial Magistrate Nishant Sharma today sent the main accused in the Sonepat gang rape and murder in judicial custody.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Mukesh Jakhar said the call details of the mobile phones recovered from their possession were being analysed. The police have also seized a car and bricks used to murder the girl.

The victim was allegedly kidnapped by Sumit of Kirti Nagar and Vikas of Kalupur village on March 9. Her body was found dumped near Rohtak on May 11. Later, the main accused, Sumit and Vikas, confessed to committing the crime.
