A college girl was stabbed to death in a food joint near the old court complex here on Tuesday, allegedly by a youth whose marriage proposal she had turned down.
The girl died on the spot while the youth was nabbed by the onlookers. The police took the youth in custody and are interrogating him.
The youth had allegedly been stalking the girl.

The girl has been identified as Pooja, a resident of Railway Colony. The youth, Naveen, is also a resident of the same locality. They were sitting in the basement of the fast food joint, Food Hub.
After ordering burgers, the youth, who claimed that he was enraged as the girl had declined his marriage proposal, brought a knife from the kitchen on the ground floor, came back to the table and stabbed her.
