SONEPAT, May 30

Representatives of the ABJASS today reiterated to start their agitation from Mayyar village in Hisar district on June 5. “The agitation will be peaceful and road and rail traffic as well as water supply to Delhi will not be distrusted,” they said.

Talking to mediapersons here, state vice-president of the samiti, Mool Chand Dahiya said besides organising a demonstration on the GT road at the Delhi-Haryana border on June 6, the agitation would be started in UP from June 8 and in other states from June 25.

In reply to a question that the socio-economic status of the Jats was denying them the benefit of reservation, Dahiya explained that the Ahirs (Yadavs) and Gujjars were also having the same status like Jats and hence both these castes should be taken out of the OBC category.
