Sirsa, November 28
The local marketing board authorities have lodged a complaint with the police after a committee official at Sirsa was allegedly beaten up by a local trader and his brother.
Jaiwanti Kasnia, secretary-cum-chief executive officer of the Market Committee, Sirsa, said a complaint had been lodged with the police against Kapil Garg and his brother for thrashing Kuldeep Mehla, office recorder.
She said Mehla had been admitted to hospital.
“Kuldeep was at the gate of the record arrivals of crops when Kapil came and asked him to record the guar crop that had arrived in his shop. When Kuldeep asked him to show him the tractor-trailer, he and his brother beat him up,” Jaiwanti alleged.
The police said a complaint had been registered.
