Two killed, two hurt in mishap

AMBALA: Two persons were killed and two injured when the car they were travelling in met with an accident on the Delhi-Amritsar highway near gurdwara Manji Sahib here in the wee hours of Wednesday.

Two persons were killed and two injured when the car they were travelling in met with an accident on the Delhi-Amritsar highway near gurdwara Manji Sahib here in the wee hours of Wednesday. The victims were going from Karnal to Jalandhar in a car when the driver of a truck moving ahead suddenly applied brakes causing the car to ram into it from the rear.

The deceased have been identified as Kamal Sharma (42) of Panipat and Rishabh Mehta (21) of Karnal.

The injured include Sheetal Sharma (25) of Karnal and Sidharth Kapoor (24) of Kurukshetra. A case has been registered against the truck driver, who is yet to be arrested.
