Two of gang held for murder, loot

SONEPAT: The police today arrested two members of the Bawaria gang that had struck at Tikola village in the district on September 19.

The police today arrested two members of the Bawaria gang that had struck at Tikola village in the district on September 19. They have been identified as Dharmener and Sunil of Aftab Garh village in Jind district.

The gang had allegedly beaten Rajbir Saini to death and injured three other family members before escaping. They also looted Rs 60,000 and silver and gold ornaments.

Inspector Indeevar, CIA in charge, said the accused were arrested from a locality on the outskirts of Aftab Garh village in Jind district.

He said during interrogation, the accused confessed that five members of the gang committed the crime.
