Wanted criminal, 4 accomplices held

The police arrested wanted criminal Devender, a resident of Gorar village in the district, along with his four accomplices from his village late last evening.

The others arrested are Rishi Pal, another resident of Gorar village, Amit, a resident of Nazafgarh, and Sachin and Nikki, both residents of Nangloi in Delhi.

The police also recovered five pistols and eight cartridges from their possession. They disclosed during interrogation that they came to Gorar village in a Maruti Alto car and on a motorcycle to murder Shobh Ram.

Indeever, Inspector, CIA, said a case has been registered at Kharkhoda police station. The accused were today produced in a local court that remanded Devender in three days of police custody while sent others, who were wanted by the Delhi Police in criminal cases, to judicial custody.

Devender was wanted in a double murder case. He had allegedly murdered Ishwar and his son Parwinder, also residents of Gorar village, in March 2017 over a property dispute.
