Waqf land clash: Main accused arrested

KURUKSHETRA: The police on Friday arrested Kripal Singh, the main accused in the clash that took place at Kharindwa village in Kurukshetra, on Monday.



Kurukshetra: The police on Friday arrested Kripal Singh, the main accused in the clash that took place at Kharindwa village in Kurukshetra, on Monday. SP Abhishek Garg said it was the fourth arrest in the case in which two persons were killed and more than 30 sustained injuries. Garg said Kripal would be questioned for his accomplices and arms used in the crime. He said special teams of police officials had been tasked to arrest the accused named in the complaint. On April 16, members of two communities had clashed to take possession of a piece of land belonging to Haryana Waqf Board. tns
