Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has asked DCs and SPs to work together and give greater momentum to schemes launched by the government to provide succour to the people and to boost economic growth. Addressing the DCs and SPs through video-conferencing here today, Khattar reviewed the progress of setting up of women police stations, “Mhara gaon, Jagmag gaon”, flood control arrangements, biometric attendance system and redress of grievances. The Chief Minister also directed officers to maintain cordial relations with elected representatives.
He commended the DCs for their efforts in distribution of Rs 1092 crore as compensation for damage to crops by untimely rains in February -April and the SPs for reduction of crime during January—-May as compared with the same period in 2014 .
He asked the DCs to speed up the distribution of compensation and complete it within 15 days.
Reviewing the status of grievances received at CM Window, Khattar said a call centre should be established within a week for monitoring complaints.
He also ordered the establishment of community-based counselling centers in at least 10 police stations this month.
The Chief Minister also directed the DCs to speed up Aadhaar seeding with bank accounts so that the benefits of pension, scholarships and other schemes could be easily given to eligible beneficiaries.
The DCs should ensure that the plot area for opening of gram sachivalyas should be at least half an acre so that there could be scope for extension in future.
Reviewing the Beti Bachao,Beti Padhao programme, the Chief Minister said the state government had set a target to increase the gender ratio to 950 in a year. He also directed the DCs and SPs to conduct extensive raids on ultrasound centres, especially Chinese portable machines, to nail this menace.
The Chief Minister also directed all DCs to ensure special monitoring of short-term flood-control works started after June 15.
