Gurugram, February 20

A 23-year-old man, employed as a cleaner in the office of Airtel, lost his life after falling from the eighth floor of the company building in Sector 8 of the IMT, Manesar area, on Monday.

The deceased, identified as Sujoy Hasda, hailed from Malda district in West Bengal and resided with his family as a tenant in Bas village. The incident took place around 2.45 pm when Sujoy fell from the eighth floor while he was engaged in cleaning work, succumbing to his injuries on the spot.

His mother Anjali filed a complaint alleging that her son’s death was the result of the company’s failure to implement proper safety measures. “My son’s death occurred due to the negligence of the company. Legal action should be taken against them,” stated Anjali in her complaint.

An FIR was lodged against the management of the company at the IMT, Manesar police station. Despite attempts, officials from Airtel Company could not be reached for comment.
