Youth found murdered at railway station

SONEPAT: The body of a 30-year-old unidentified youth was found lying near the entry gate number 2 of the railway station here on Wednesday. The body bore deep injury marks on the neck and head.

The body of a 30-year-old unidentified youth was found lying near the entry gate number 2 of the railway station here on Wednesday. The body bore deep injury marks on the neck and head.

On receiving information, a team of the Government Railway Police (GRP) along with forensic experts reached the spot and after preliminary investigation, sent the body to the Civil Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

The GRP team recovered an Aadhaar card of a 10-year-old boy from Delhi and an old currency note of Rs 1,000 denomination from his pocket.

Tara Chand, SHO, GRP, Sonepat, said that medical authorities had been requested to conduct the post-mortem by a board of doctors. Photos and other information related to the victim had been sent to nearby police stations, he said.
