Shimla, October 18
As many as 15 candidates filed their nomination papers on Wednesday for the state Assembly elections, which took the total to 20.
From Kangra district, Susheel Kumar filed his nomination as the BSP candidate from Indora constituency, Bidhi Chand from Fatehpur as an Independent, Mujhesh Kumar from Jaswan-Pragpur as an Independent and Nisha Katoch from Dharamsala as the Savabhiman Party candidate.
Renuka Dogra filed her nomination from the Kullu Assembly segment as the Rashtriya Azad Manch candidate.In Mandi district, Bhagwant Singh filed his nomination as an Independent from Karsog, Suraj Mani as an Independent from Darang and Paro Devi of the Lok Gathbandhan Party from the Sarkaghat constituency.
From Hamirpur district, nomination was filed by Hardyal Singh from Nadaun as an Independent candidate. In Una district, Varinder Kumar filed his nomination from Haroli as the BSP candidate.
In Sirmaur district, Vishwa Nath filed his nomination as the CPM candidate and Virender Kumar as the Lok Gathbandhan Party candidate from the Nahan constituency. From Shimla district, Roshan Lal filed nomination as an Independent from Theog, Lokinder Singh as an Independent from Jubbal-Kotkhai and Vivek Kashyap from Rampur as the CPM candidate. — TNS
