A 19-year-old girl Shradha from Karnataka has reportedly gone missing from Manali since January 14. She had come with her mother Usha to Manali on January 10 and they were staying in a hotel.

Manali DSP Puneet Raghu stated that the parents of the girl registered a complaint regarding their missing daughter yesterday.

The DSP stated that Shradha left the hotel alone and had withdrawn Rs 4,000 from an ATM. He said her mobile phones were switched off and the police were analysing the CCTV footages to trace her.

He added that she was last seen on the Mall and the police had approached various travel agents to know her whereabouts. The DSP stated that Satish Kumar, father of Shradha, had also arrived at Manali.

The DSP said Shradha did not know Hindi and spoke English. He stated that the parents had announced Rs 10,000 for providing vital information about their missing daughter.

He added that the police were leaving no stone unturned to trace Shradha. The DSP said various aspects related to the case were being analysed and further investigation was being carried out. He, however, ruled out chances of kidnapping or any other foul play.
