2 injured in separate road mishaps

KANGRA: Two youths were injured, one of them seriously, in two separate road accidents in the district in the past 24 hours, the police said here on Tuesday.

Two youths were injured, one of them seriously, in two separate road accidents in the district in the past 24 hours, the police said here on Tuesday.

Santosh Patial, SSP, Kangra, said Pankaj, a resident of Ward No 1, Jawalamukhi, his motorcycle collided with an Alto car HP 57-3728 at Dehra on Monday, leaving him seriously injured. He was rushed to Tanda medical College, where the doctors referred him to the PGI, Chandigarh. A case has been registered under Sections 279 and 337 of the IPC at the Jawalamukhi police station.

In another accident, Sonu Kumar, a resident of Ghera, was injured in a hit-and-run case when an unknown motorcyclist hit him at Mastpur on Monday. A case under Sections 279 and 337 of the IPC and Section 187 of the MV Act has been registered at the Gaggal police station.
