22 NGOs to hold march

SHIMLA: The Gudiya Nyay Manch of 22 NGOs has decided to stage a peaceful march from the DC’s office to the state Secretariat tomorrow in demand for a time-bound CBI probe into the Kotkhai rape and murder case.

Shimla, July 23

The Gudiya Nyay Manch of 22 NGOs has decided to stage a peaceful march from the DC’s office to the state Secretariat tomorrow in demand for a time-bound CBI probe into the Kotkhai rape and murder case. They will also seek security for Mamta, wife of Suraj, who was allegedly murdered in police custody.

Sharda Damset, convener of the manch, and Vijender Mehra, co-convener, said the CBI should conduct a fair and time-bound probe in both cases, as there was a bid to destroy the evidence in these cases. “Innocent people are being framed in an effort to protect the real culprits. We suspect Suraj’s wife is also facing threat to life,” they said. — TNS
