3 bikes set ablaze near Kangra

KANGRA: Three motorcycle parked on the verandah of a shop at Sammela on the outskirts of the town were allegedly set ablaze by some miscreants at night, the police said here on Saturday.

Three motorcycle parked on the verandah of a shop at Sammela on the outskirts of the town were allegedly set ablaze by some miscreants at night, the police said here on Saturday.

Three motorcycles bearing registration numbers (HP 40 B 3923) owned by Suresh Kumar, a resident of Sammela, (HP 39 C 7998) owned by Parveen Kumar, a resident of Rehloo, and (HP 40 C 2236) owned by Ashwani Kumar, a resident of Sammela were kept on the verandah of a shop at Sammela on Friday, but on Saturday morning all three vehicles were found to have been burnt. A case was registered and investigation started. The police said those involved would be booked. Suresh Kumar said they had been keeping the three bikes on the said spot for the past nearly one-and- half-years, but this incident had shocked them. He said it was first such incident in the area.
