Around 50 people were injured when a bus carrying 60 passengers skidded off the road and rolled down a hill near Jawalapur in Mandi district on Monday.

The bus, which was on its way from Jawalapur to Kullu, got stuck in the trees, preventing it from falling further. As many as 14 people, who were critically injured, were admitted to a Kullu hospital while the remaining were being treated at the Community Health Centre at Nagwain.
Mandi DSP Hitesh Lakhanpal said the police rushed to the spot and investigation was being carried out.
Eyewitnesses said the bus was overcrowded and the driver appeared to have lost control over the vehicle while negotiating a turn. With IANS
