On the occasion of International Senior Citizens Day, the Social Justice and Empowerment Department today honoured seven senior citizens, including two freedom fighters from the district Satya Mitra Bakshi (92) and Satya Bhushan Shastri (91).
Deputy Commissioner Vikas Labroo honoured the senior citizens at the function jointly organised by the district administration and the Himotkarsh Parishad.
The other senior citizens honoured on the occasion were Piare Lal (95) from Kungrat, Lajwanti (96) from Panoh, Rattan Chand (97) from Lohara, Harbans Ram (84) from Bhaloh and Gayatri Devi (97) from Una city. — OC
