As many as 194 students of Army Public School, Dagshai in Solan attended a seminar organised by officials of Army Recruitment Office, Shimla, in order to create awareness amongst the students to join the Indian Army.

The officials briefed the students about the Agniveer recruitment. Addressing the students, Subedar Major Suresh D said the recruitment of Agniveers will be conducted in two phases.

“The first phase will consist of an online computer-based written exam (Online Common Entrance Exam), and the second phase will have a recruitment rally. Interested candidates can register their names on the website (joinindianarmy.nic.in).”

He said youth from Shimla, Sirmaur, Solan and Kinnaur who are born between October 1, 2003 and April, 30 2007 and have passed class 10 or class 12 or are awaiting results, are eligible to apply.

“Admit cards for the online CEE will be available for the candidates on the official website. Candidates will also receive SMS and emails with information about the exam centre in their registered email IDs” he added.
