Bahra University, Waknaghat, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ICICI Securities Limited to launch a new age MBA programme at the university campus today.
Vice Chancellor of the university Dr SK Bansal and Neeraj Joshi, national head, Direct Centre for Financial Learning, ICIC,I signed the MoU to set-up an ICFL centre of excellence in finance at the university.
Bansal said the officials of the ICFL would provide industry inputs and practical training based on updated course curriculum and practical learning on new age subjects like stocks, derivatives, financial planning and financial modelling to students.
This will help bridge the gap between industry requirements and academic output by enhancing the competency of the students. He emphasised that the students would get trained by experienced faculty from all over the country and they would benefit by acquiring specialised skills and knowledge through globally recognised certifications.
In accordance with the MoU, the ICFL would deliver seminars and personalised counselling sessions in addition to providing books and reading material to the enrolled students. ICFL officials will also interact with the students and obtain or feedback on various programmes offered by them. — TNS
