Bali unveils ITI building at Dhaulatpur

Technical Education Minister GS Bali today inaugurated an Industrial Training Institute (ITI) building, constructed at a cost of Rs 4 crore, at Dhaulatpur here.

GS Bali was accompanied by Technical Education Director Rajeshwar Goel, a fleet of officials, former MLA and strong contender for the Congress ticket Surinder Kaku, District Congress Committee chief Suman Verma, Block Congress Committee president Raj Kumar Jaswal, pradhans and up-pradhans of different villages arrived at Dhaulatpur and inaugurated the ITI building this morning.

Addressing a gathering, GS Bali said he never believed in negative politics and mixing up politics with development.

Bali said he was eager to have development in the state and cherished to have corruption-free, crime-free and employment generating Himachal.

He said 336 technical institutions, which included 4 government engineering colleges, 2 pharmacy colleges, 15 polytechnics, 118 ITIs, and one community college in the automobile sector and in private sector 14 engineering colleges, 13 pharmacy colleges, 21 polytechnics, 2 D.Pharmacy colleges and 145 ITIs in the state with a combined total annual intake capacity of 63,000 students.

He said the budget allocations were doubled during the last four years.

He said 4 Centrally funded institutions were established in the state during the last 4 years. He announced to start classes in the new building from today and said the welder and fitter courses would start in this ITI from coming session.

He asked parents to push their children towards technical education to see their bright future. Bali announced Rs 50 lakh for the additional building of the ITI , three hand pumps for Tiara, Kulthi and Dhawlatpur and three solar lights.

Himachal PCC secretaries Ajay Verma and Nishu Mongra, DCC president Suman Verma and BCC president Raj Kumar Jaswal criticised local MLA Pawan Kajal for allegedly cutting the ribbon of the building last evening for clandestine inauguration. They alleged that the MLA was trying to encash this achievement which they alleged was no way his contribution.
