MANDI: BJP MLA from Drang Jawahar Thakur was on Tuesday evening thrashed by his uncle Jyoti Prakash and nephew in Mandi, when latter was attending a local fair.

BJP MLA from Drang Jawahar Thakur was on Tuesday evening thrashed by his uncle Jyoti Prakash and nephew in Mandi, when latter was attending a local fair.

The MLA was along with his local deity at Takoli to attend a local fair, where a conflict arose between two factions on the sitting place of the deity, following which Jyoti Prakash and his sons thrashed the MLA.

According to sources, the family was also involved in a property dispute.

DSP Padhar Madankant confirmed the report and said a case has been registered under various sections of the IPC and investigation was underway.
