Solan, July 9
A double-lane bridge constructed over Giri river at Yashwant Nagar in Sirmaur district will be inaugurated tomorrow by Chief Minister Jai ram Thakur. It will replace the nearly 60-year-old bridge. A sum of Rs 2.28 crore has been spent on the bridge as against the Rs 11,500 spent in 1958 by the then government. The new 49-m long bridge is a double-lane structure and is constructed with modern techniques said Lalit Jain, DC, Sirmaur. The bridge provides connectivity from the Rajgarh belt to Solan district . — TNS
