Man killed in road accident

Una: A man was killed after his car hit a divider and turned turtle near Dehlan village here on Saturday evening. The deceased has been identified as Dhantar Singh (40), a resident of Kangra district.

ASP Amit Sharma said the victim was working in Baddi. The accident took place when he was on his way to home. The victim was taken to the Una district hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. OC

2 drug peddlers held 

Una: The police arrested a man with 8.53-kg poppy husk at Rampur village on Saturday night. The accused, Lal Ji, a daily wager, hails from Bhatala village of Sultanpur district in Uttar Pradesh. In another incident, Amit Sharma, a resident of Arya Nagar in Una city, was arrested with 3.1-gm heroin at the traffic light chowk near the main bus stand. Cases have been registered under relevant sections of the NDPS Act. OC
