Mandi, July 22
Thousands of people and vehicles were on Saturday stranded after a landslide blocked a stretch of the Chandigarh-Manali National Highway in Mandi district.

Many vehicles remained stuck on the road from Pandoh to Kullu after big boulders fell on it due to heavy rains.
Eyewitnesses say big boulders rolled down from hills and blocked the highway.
No casualty has been reported. Last week, too, a major landslide was reported some 3 km from today's spot in which shops and part of the Hanogi temple were damaged.
