Reacting to the statement made by Congress leader Mukesh Agnihotri against Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, Forest Minister Govind Singh Thakur on Wednesday said Agnihotri was trying to hide the ongoing war within the Congress by making such statements.
He said Agnihotri used “undignified language and his comments were condemnable”.
He accused him of hurting the sentiments of the people, who elected the BJP government. “The Congress leaders should accept the reality that Jai Ram Thakur is the Chief Minister of the state. The ministers have equal rights to recommend new ways in improving the performance of the governance,” he said.
He said Agnihotri was trying to divert the attention of people from the internal turmoil of the Congress party, especially war of words between Virbhadra Singh and Sukhwinder Singh Thakur. The infighting had been going on since long and would never come to an end.
Regarding transfers, he said during the previous Congress regime, more than one lakh employees were transferred and 32,000 transfers were made in the election year alone.
“The present government has provided relief to employees by deploying them at suitable places, who were harassed by the previous government,” he added.
