Mandi, April 26

Nearly 200 persons today donated blood at a camp organised by the Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation here.

Addressing a gathering after inaugurating the camp, Health Minister Kaul Singh Thakur said the Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation had the honour of being a leader in blood donation in the world.

Between 2009 and 2013, the foundation had collected 7,09,595 units of blood by organising nearly 5,000 camps, the minister said.

The minister congratulated Constable Shivlal Chaudhary and Premi Devi for donating blood for about 32 and 25 times, respectively. — TNS
