Chamba, May 31
In the wake of releasing dam waters, the managements of the Chamera power station-II and III have sounded an alert for the public to keep away from the Ravi and also not allow their livestock to graze on the riverbed.
As per sources, the waters of the dam would be released on June 1 and 2 to drain out the silt and muck deposited in the reservoirs of the Chamera power station-II and III.
For this, the sluice gates of the concrete dams would be opened to release the dam waters because of which the volume of the water in the Ravi would rise and flow with high velocity.
