Nurpur, January 19
Health Minister Kaul Singh Thakur today paid a surprise visit to the local Civil Hospital in the morning to check the attendance of doctors and their punctuality record.
As per information, he entered the hotel premises at 9.32 am and first of all examined the bio-metric machine. He took a serious note of the poor attendance of doctors till 9.30 am and directed the hospital in charge to mark leave latecomers.
He said he had received complaints that doctors were not punctual in attending hospital duties. He warned the latecomers that he would take strict action against those who were found reaching the office late.
The minister also examined the medicine store, sanitary condition and other hospital facilities being rendered to patients. He warned doctors against residing at Pathankot in Punjab and discharging their duties at the Nurpur Civil Hospital. He said it affected emergency duties. — OC
