Nurpur’s Deepak Gupta is SC Judge

Nurpur, February 12

Chief Justice of Chhattisgarh Deepak Gupta, who hails from Nurpur, has been elevated to the Supreme Court. The Law Ministry cleared his name yesterday. Born on May 7, 1955, Justice Gupta did his LLB from Delhi University and started his practice in the Himachal High Court.

In October 2004, Justice Gupta was appointed the Himachal High Court Judge. He became the Chief Justice of the Tripura High Court and was transferred to the Chhattisgarh High Court as the Chief Justice last year. — OC
