Nurpur village residents sans water for 3 days

NURPUR: Resentment prevails among residents of Labh village in Jawali as they have been without water for the past three days.

Nurpur, March 27

Resentment prevails among residents of Labh village in Jawali as they have been without water for the past three days. They said the motor of the tubewell was out of order. The tubewell supplies water to 300 houses and many shops. Surinder Chhinda, ward member and former president of the Labh Beopar Mandal, said the residents had to go to far-off places to get water.

He said the hand pump in the local market was also not working. Chhinda said the IPH Department should repair the hand pump and get the motor of the tubewell replaced. Assistant engineer, IPH Department, Vipon Kumar said the problem would be solved shortly. — OC
