KANGRA: A three-day Rotary Youth Leadership Awards-2017 function that started from January 8 concluded here today.

A three-day Rotary Youth Leadership Awards-2017 function that started from January 8 concluded here today. This year’s theme was “Empowering and Inspiring Youth for a Change”.

Prof Yoginder Verma, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, CUHP, and Ritesh from Dronacharya Rotaract Club launched the theme of the District Rotaract Representative. Appreciation award was given to Arjun Kalia, Tushar Kumar, Ashish Arora, Tammanna and Sandeep.

Today a lecture on health and mind management was delivered by Dr BK Chander Shekhar, a psycho neurobics specialist.

The Best Club Award was given to the Dronacharya Rotaract Club. During the four-day programme, yoga and meditation for a stress-free life was conducted by Mahesh Dogra. An extempore, collage and rangoli contest was organised besides a camp fire.

A cultural fiesta was organised in the form of group dance, solo song, solo dance, skit and guest performances. Raunak from Rotaract, Adampur, was adjudged Mr RYLA, whereas Harsimrat was adjudged Ms RYLA.

In extempore, Harsimrat , GCG, Ludhiana, won the top prize followed by Kajal Mahajan, GDDSD, Gurdaspur, who won the second prize. In collage, the Dronacharya Rotaract Club secured the first position followed by KLB, Palampur. In solo dance, Raunak, Rotaract Club, Adampur, secured the first position; Shehnaz, Dronacharya Rotaract Club, was second, while Sweta, KLB, Palampur, secured the third position.
