Two killed, 3 hurt in road mishap

SOLAN: Two persons were killed and three others injured when the Swift Dzire (Pb-01-A-7289) they were travelling in first rammed into a Mahindra Pick-Up (HP-12-A-8075) and then an electricity pole before overturning in a field on the Sai Road at Baddi last evening.

Two persons were killed and three others injured when the Swift Dzire (Pb-01-A-7289) they were travelling in first rammed into a Mahindra Pick-Up (HP-12-A-8075) and then an electricity pole before overturning in a field on the Sai Road at Baddi last evening.

According to Baddi SP Basher Singh, the driver of the Swift Dzire rammed into the Pick-Up coming from the opposite side and then hit an electricity pole which was also damaged.

The deceased have been identified as Roshan and Karan, both of whom were migrants hailing from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. All car occupants work in industrial units of the area.

A case of rash and negligent driving has been registered against the driver under Sections 279, 337 and 304-A of the IPC and further investigation is under way.

The medical examination of the driver would confirm whether he was in liquor, police officials said.
