Hamirpur, January 21
Former Chief Minister PK Dhumal said the Congress government in the state had failed on all fronts and despite huge financial sanctions by the Centre from time to time, the state could not start development works given to the state by the Centre.
He was addressing a gathering at Patialu village near here today. The Central Government had sanctioned over Rs 229 crore for the preparation of detailed project reports (DPRs) for the 66 national highways. Despite that there was no headway in the preparation of DPRs. He said once state-of-the-art road infrastructure was developed the state and its people would progress economically. — OC
