Taking note of the non-completion of Parwanoo-Dharampur road on time, the High Court on Wednesday summoned the top management of M/s GR Infraproject Limited, the contractor of the Parwanoo-Solan fourlaning project for July 27.
A division bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Sanjay Karol and Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan observed: “We find that the undertaking furnished by the contractor to the court for completing the work at least from Parwanoo to Dharampur stands violated not once but twice.”
The court directed the contractor to file a fresh status report on or before the next date of hearing, indicating the progress of the work. It passed the order on a public interest litigation on the slow pace of work on the stretch.
