A 27-year-old woman committed suicide by consuming poison at Tangroti village yesterday.
The police have arrested her husband for abetment to suicide. DSP Hitash Lakhanpal said the deceased,Sumna, married Hans Raj in 2011. He said the woman’s mother had filed a complaint with the police that Hans Raj was harassing her daughter.
A case under Section 306 IPC has been registered against Hans Raj. The body was handed over to the family after the autopsy.
