Former Chief Minister PK Dhumal said 100 per cent GST refund would not only help in improving economy but also attract investors to the state. He was addressing a press conference here today.

He said the state government was misleading the people on account of Centre funding to the state. He said every penny that was due to the state was released by the Centre but in addition to that, more new schemes with budgetary provisions were given to the state to increase the pace of the development. He said it was estimated that over Rs 27,413 GST refunds would be done and this facility would help in generation of more jobs.

Dhumal said it was only NDA governments that looked after the interests of the state. Condemning the decision of filling the left over NRI seats in government medical colleges against payment, Dhumal said this would deprive the meritorious poor students from getting into medical colleges. Instead the government should fill these as per normal fee structure so that poor could get an opportunity to get into MBBS course.
