Hamirpur, August 16

Doctors in the state were working in the 24x7 module and this was not acceptable to the Himachal Medical Officers Association (HMOA) said Dr Pushpinder Verma here.

He said the same was the fate of trainee doctors in medical colleges in the state. He said it was neither in favour of the medical fraternity nor in the interest of patients in the premier health institutions of the state. He said the Himachal Pradesh High Court had suggested that procedures be amended, but the authorities were not adhering to the directives of the High Court. He said the Health Secretary and the government should act upon the instructions of the HC else the HMOA would be compelled to move the court for justice.
