PALAMPUR: Congress President Rahul Gandhi has inducted Gokul Butail, IT adviser to former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, into him team. He has been assigned a job in the AICC office, New Delhi.

Palampur, January 22 

Congress President Rahul Gandhi has inducted Gokul Butail,  IT adviser  to  former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh,  into him team. He has been assigned a job in the AICC office, New Delhi.

Gokul today called on Rahul Gandhi in New  Delhi and discussed  various issues pertaining to the youth. They discussed  measures required to be taken to strengthen the party in Himachal in the wake of the 2019 parliamentary elections.  

Gokul belongs to the Butail family of Palampur. His grandfather remained  an MLA and the state party president. The Butail family represented  Palampur in the state Assembly for over 40 years.

Gokul completed his studies from the United States and served there for a long period. Later, on the request of  former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh,  he left the job and joined here as his  IT adviser. — OC
