Fisherman goes missing as boat capsizes

Nurpur, December 12

A 60-year-old fisherman went missing after his boat capsized in the Pong Dam today.

The deceased has been identified as Dev Raj of Mani village in the Dhameta gram panchayat.

As per information, the fisherman had gone to the lake this morning, but didn’t return. On getting information, a police team rushed to the spot and with the assistance of the locals started the search work. However, no clue was found about the missing fisherman till late evening.

Jawali DSP Vir Bahadur said an NDRF team from Nurpur had been requisitioned that would start the search operation tomorrow morning.
