Forest guard’s death: CBI files status report in HC

SHIMLA: The CBI has filed its status report in the HP High Court in a matter pertaining to the mysterious death of forest guard Hoshiyar Singh (22), whose body was found hanging from a tree in Garjub jungle near Seri Katandha in Mandi district.

The CBI has filed its status report in the HP High Court in a matter pertaining to the mysterious death of forest guard Hoshiyar Singh (22), whose body was found hanging from a tree in Garjub jungle near Seri Katandha in Mandi district.

A Division Bench comprising acting Chief Justice Sanjay Karol and Justice Sandeep Sharma directed the CBI to file its status report in the registry of the court.

In its earlier order, the court had directed the CBI to file its status report before the registry of the court. The High Court had entrusted the investigation of this case to the CBI. The body of the forest guard was found hanging from a tree in Garjub jungle near Seri Katandha in Mandi district on June 9.
